The Sons of Pitches
The Sons of Pitches are one of the premiere a cappella vocal groups currently working in the United Kingdom. Since winning BBC2's The Naked Choir with Gareth Malone in November 2015, the group have toured the United Kingdom twice, released two albums, won multiple awards and their YouTube channel has received over three million hits. The band are currently one of the House Bands on Sky One's Sing: Ultimate A Cappella with Cat Deeley. To find out more about the band, take a look at their website.
We are delighted to welcome The Sons of Pitches to The Amey Theatre, Abingdon for this very special concert on 3rd February 2018. Tickets are going extremely fast, so if you would like to come along please don't delay in booking your seats!

The Sons of Pitches will also be giving a one hour a cappella workshop for up to sixty enthusiastic singers between 2pm and 3pm on Saturday 3 February 2018, and participants may even get the opportunity to perform with the boys in the evening concert! Places on the workshop cost just £10 each, are available to anyone aged 16+ and can be purchased through the Abingdon School Box Office or on 01235 849063.
ACCord (Abingdon Community Choir)
Providing support to The Sons of Pitches during their concert will be ACCord (Abingdon Community Choir).
ACCord is a large mixed choir, co-directed by Helen Eccleston and Matt Winkworth and run by Abingdon Music Centre. All are very welcome: there are no auditions and there is no need to read music as songs are learned by ear. The choir sings a range of music in 3- or 4-part harmony, including pop, gospel, show and world.
Since forming in 2013, ACCord has performed at various festivals (e.g. OxJam, Rabbit Hole Festival) and at local community events in the Abingdon area. To find out more about the choir, please visit their website.

The Amey Theatre is located in Abingdon School's grounds and is accessed from Park Road, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14 1DE. There is parking available in the school car park off Park Road or in one of several public car parks in Abingdon itself; Please DO NOT park on Park Road or Park Crescent themselves as these are private roads and wheel clamping teams are in operation.
